In the video above, Simon Swanson, Managing Director of ClearView Wealth Limited, provides you with an overview of ClearView and discusses the company's growth plans.

Due to the significant consolidation over the past 25 years, the life insurance and wealth management industry is made up of a few large participants who have lost their emotional connections with their people, intermediaries and customers. As a result, we believe there is room and tremendous growth potential for a small company with minimal legacy issues and significant distribution reach like ClearView.

On 9 June 2010, ClearView was created which consisted of MMC Contrarian, an ASX-listed company with a financial planning business called ComCorp, and two former Bupa Australia businesses – MBF Life and ClearView Retirement Solutions.  To better reflect the new entity, the company was rebranded under the ClearView name and segregated into three business units – Life Insurance, Wealth Management and Financial Planning.

ClearView’s objective is to build a successful and profitable life insurance and wealth management business.  To achieve this objective, ClearView’s strategy is to:

  • focus on profitable segments of the industry that are simple yet scalable;
  • upgrade life & wealth products and widen the product offering;
  • build sales through exclusive distribution agreements with both Bupa Australia and credit unions;
  • extract cost savings opportunities and revenue synergies;
  • penetrate the IFA market (FY2012)
